What We Do
Meeting People Where They Are
OGE programs help increase access to information communications technology (ICT) content and training for low income communities, and build capacity of organizations to fully utilize ICT to realize their strategic goals. OGE meets individuals and organizations where they are geographically, technologically, and at their appropriate literacy level.
One Global Economy has several programmatic areas, all of which focus on leveraging information communications technologies to help low income individuals improve their lives. Our projects combine any or all of the following five thematic areas:
Online and Mobile Content
OGE offers technology expertise and localized websites for community and individual development.
Social Networking and Media
OGE has created unique social networks and collaboration sites to increase digital literacy technical capacity in developing countries.
OGE is implementing its youth digital literacy and leadership training, Community Connectors, in South Africa.
OGE offers services in community planning, mobilizing individual and community assets, and strategic and business planning for NGOs.
Entrepreneurship and Livelihood
OGE uses an asset based approach to help communities capitalize on the resources they already have.
Digital Inclusion Mapping and Surveying
OGE’s experience leading stakeholder engagement sessions and community outreach surveys made it a natural lead implementer for the Broadband Mapping program
OGE evaluates the impact of NGOs' programs and helps to build NGOs' capacity to monitor and evaluate their own programs.
