Prior to One Economy, Mr. Grau served as Program Director with Just Think. The programming, media and online tools created at Just Think that integrate new media into learning, continue to be seen as leading the field. From 2005-2010 he served as learning design consultant and three time project mentor with the Stanford-based Southeast Asian Leadership Network. The network produces and delivers undergraduate-led service work every summer in Southeast Asia. With 15 years experience as an artist, graphic designer and media producer and through his work in Media and Social Change at the University of California, he believes high quality interactive entertainment and can have a positive impact on personal development and society. As facilitator of over 300 diversity presentations and workshops worldwide - with clients that include Lucent Technologies, Progressive, Boston College, and the US Treasury - an MA in Diversity Studies, and 13 years spent creating fun, innovative ways to enjoy difference - Mohammed has positioned himself as one of today’s top diversity consultants. His 12 Steps to Appreciating Diversity has helped thousands to embrace and incorporate social justice and equity into their daily lives. Midnight Voices, the live instrumentation Hip-Hop band Mohammed started with his best friend, Will Power, in 1990, has toured worldwide, and has won numerous awards including two SF Whammies and one Bay Area Music Award for best Hip-Hop group. Mohammed's first solo album, Beatbox Metafiction, is already being touted as “groundbreaking” for it’s sensitive lyrics and use of world music. Mohammed has collaborated and/or performed with such luminaries as Santana, The Ohio Players, Michele Shocked, Public Enemy, Ben Harper, De La Soul, Goapele, Martin Luther, and Primus. Leonardo Sosa came to San Francisco from Guatemala in 1984. He earned a B.A. in Computer Applcations from San Francisco City College and holds a current CA Teaching Credential. He has also achieved many computer c... [show more]ertifications and worked at a variety of non profits affording him 15 years of experience teaching adults and youth computer applications. Prior to joining One Economy, Leonardo worked with Goodwill Industries of San Francisco as a Database Administrator. He also served as a Computer Applications Instructor with San Francisco City College, San Francisco State University and Mission Language Vocational School (MLVS). Between these three jobs he trained over 5,000 ESL students in technology and computer applications. Additionally, in 1995 he launched the first youth technology program serving the Mission District at MLVS, called Youth-Net. Leonardo joined One Economy Corporation in the summer of 2003 as a consultant tasked with implementing the first West Coast Digital Connectors program in San Francisco. Since then he has expanded the program to 12 sites all over the state of CA and the West Coast. He has also helped launched programs in Portland, Seattle, Miami, Washington DC, NY, Denver and Chicago. Leonardo has mentored over 1,500 youth to become the next generation of "technology ambassadors". He has also trained over 100 instructors how to effectively deliver our Best Practice - Technology and Leadership Curriculum since 2005. Leonardo has participated in multiple Digital Divide Seminars, Technology Conventions, Round Table Discussions on the West Coast and has presented @ Google, Cisco, Yahoo and most recently Symantec about One Economy's work in undeserved communities. Leonardo has also been interviewed on local TV Shows and Radio Stations about his passion to serve low-income families. Having recently transferred to the Community Impact team back in May 2010, he is now responsible for leading targeted, technology-led community development efforts in the communities served by One Economy in the Bay Area, Central Valley, Los Angeles and San Diego. These efforts include distributing free Internet connections, affordable computers, technology training and support, technology-based youth leadership programs and localized content, intended to connect community residents to information and resources that they can use to join the economic mainstream.
