[show more]t by Cisco in Louisiana and Mississippi to improve and expand learning opportunities for students. Mr. Jordan also leads the efforts for that region of One Economy's Bring IT Home America campaign, and the AT&T/One Economy AccessAll Partnership program. Mr. Jordan is a founding partner of MELANET, L.C., an Internet web development, consulting, and technology training firm. He was among the premier recipients of the Influencers and Innovators of the Internet and Technology award and a principle architect of the Hampton Roads Community Learning Center Network (HRCLCN) that created and supported community-based computer learning centers in underserved communities throughout Hampton Roads, Virginia.  Mr. Jordan was named one of the "Top 40 Under 40" in 2001 by Inside Business Hampton Roads. Mr. Jordan has more than 20 years experience in the computer industry. Prior to joining One Economy, Mr. Jordan aided the development of telephone switching systems, Federal Aviation Administration air traffic control, United States Navy communication systems, and dedicated himself to such civic involvement as a Commissioner of the Norfolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority. She has worked extensively with farmworkers and the Latino community in the Southeastern US and indigenous and rural co... [show more]mmunities in Bolivia, Costa Rica and Honduras. Alejandra's work has focused on economic development and the creation of culturally and linguistically appropriate education programs and materials. She has worked as a freelance translator for numerous non-profit organizations since 1994. Alejandra was the Secretary of the Board of the Highlander Research and Education Center, a founding board member of the Latino Community Credit Union and a board member of El Pueblo, Inc. Alejandra holds a Certificate in Nonprofit Management and a Certificate in Teaching English as a Second Language from Duke University. She has a BA in Latin American Studies and Sustainable Development and an MS in Community Forestry. She is a contributing author of The Human Cost of Food: Farmworkers' Lives, Labor and Advocacy, published by the University of Texas. Alejandra participated in the AED/New Voices fellowship. [show more] including proposals, reports, and presentations.  She has also assisted with One Economy’s curriculum development for both national and international programs.   For over 15 years Donna has been successfully raising funds for educational, environmental and technology nonprofits, including the Just Think Foundation, Marine Mammal Center, and PRBO Conservation Science. Her skills in strategic planning, program development and evaluation, capital campaigns and budgeting have helped secure individual, foundation, corporate and government grants totaling more than $50 million. With a BA in religion from Goucher College and an MA in creative writing from San Francisco State University, she brings a unique perspective and passion to her communications with donors, prospects, and the public.
