One Economy’s 11th Annual Gala

On November 3rd, One Economy celebrated its eleventh year with its annual gala in Washington DC. This year’s event celebrated the role of technology in improving education. Top awards were given to AT&T Chairman and CEO Randall Stephenson and U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan. Following the awards program, some of the top technology companies and education organizations provided guests with the first public views of the latest technology designed to improve educational outcomes at the interactive Edu-Tech Expo.

Following the awards program, AT&T, Common Sense Media, Discovery Education, Google, Kajeet for Education, Footsteps to Brilliance, Great Schools, Microsoft, NASA, Sprout and TV Textbook showcased some of the latest technology designed to improve education as part of the Edu-Tech Expo. Attendees were able to try the latest in technology innovations and interactive tools for students.

AT&T was the title sponsor of the 2011 Gala. Additional sponsors included:
