Patients with high blood pressure did a better job of taking prescribed medication through the use of a mobile phone application that reminded them when to take their pills, according to the results of a recent medical study conducted by George Washington University.
One Economy partnered with Qualcomm, Vocel, Cricket and George Washington University Medical School to develop and test the PillPhone mobile application.
This study is further proof that underserved communities can benefit immensely from public purpose mobile applications, the principle behind One Economy’s recently launched Applications for Good.
