America’s unemployment rate hovers above nine percent, but the real figure, some say, is somewhere closer to 17 percent. Seems many people have given up altogether on finding work.
At The Beehive, we think there’s more to finding work than just sending out resumes. In fact, it’s more about understanding what needs to be done, not fearing the process, and having the proper tools at your fingertips. If you’re overwhelmed and discouraged by your prospects and lack the proper tools, you are at a huge disadvantage.
We’ve recently begun testing a new feature inside The Beehive’s job section — a simple job search engine tied to Indeed.com’s massive database of open jobs. This is just a first step — putting a job search engine within easy reach of those coming to The Beehive seeking out advice and information about finding work.
From here we intend to make it easier for people in different segments of our audience to take advantage of job search technology by contexualizing the experience. Returning war veterans have different skills and different needs when entering a job search than do seniors looking to get back into the workforce. Through Beehive technology, we have the opportunity to simplify and enhance the search experience for all of the different audiences we serve.
Right now there may be nothing more important than getting America back to work, and The Beehive intends to be on the front lines of this effort.
