How We’re Able to Reduce the Cost of Internet Access in Affordable Housing

Posted by:

By working with our corporate and government partners, we’ve been able to reduce the cost of bringing internet access to affordable housing properties and low-income residents.

AT&TAT&T worked with us to connect 35,000 low-income households.  Together, we were able to reduce the cost of building a wireless network by 50%, and provide 2 free years of internet access to residents.

recovery.govWe are proud to be part of a federal technology stimulus program to connect 27,000 low-income households across the country.  The entire cost of building a wireless network is covered for the housing project, and brings 2 free years of internet access, followed by 3 years of internet access at $10/month.

Mobile CitizenWe’re working with Mobile Citizen to brinbg 4G wireless broadband in areas served by Clear for $10/month plus the cost of a Clear modem ($60-100).  This has proven to be especially useful with scattered site properties.
